The White Desert

The White Desert is a national park located in Egypt’s Western Desert famous for its unique rock formations that have been shaped by centuries of erosion and wind, creating a surreal landscape of towering chalk-white cliffs and mushroom-shaped rock formations. These rocks are estimated to be around 30 million years old.

One of the most popular attractions in the White Desert is the Mushroom Rock, a tall, slender rock formation with a round top that resembles a mushroom.

Visitors to the White Desert can also camp under the stars in the midst of the beautiful rock formations. The desert sky is often clear, making it a perfect place for stargazing.

Overall, the White Desert is a fascinating and unique destination that offers visitors the chance to explore some of the most striking natural wonders of the Egyptian desert, as well as to learn about the rich cultural heritage of the region.
